Can We Take A Moment

Hey blogger babes, it's time for my first posting on me new blog. I thought I would start out by sharing some fun-ness of a recent vacay - photos of me and the "fam" taking a little trip up to the New England States to get a glimpse of how life is
on the East Coast. We also designed the trip around a few of our favorite TV shows.
We started our trip by driving 14 hours straight to Hershey Pennsylvania and our first stop was for - yes, that's right - chocolate...and licorice...and more chocolate. I love that this place has a cute little tour of the factory (albeit a little contrived like Disneyland;) but nevertheless, a really informative and tantalizing trek through the process. The first fantastic thing is that it costs 0 dinaro and the second thing is that you get to buy as much chocolate as you want for the rest of your road trip.

The next stop was the Penn Paper Company in Scranton Pennsylvania. An interesting fun fact is that the opening credits of "The Office" were shot by John Krasinski. Also Penn Paper Co. esteemed the great PR they received from the show so much that they actually put up signs on 2 sides of the tower that read "Dunder Mifflin."
Here is my older sister Austinie goofing around with me, as usual.
We travelled to Newport, Rhode Island and visited the gorgeous homes of some of the greatest American moguls, such as Astor's and Vanderbilt's. Here I am gazing over the balustrade of Rosecliff, peering into the vast ocean hazing into the mist.
Walking along the cliff walk near The Breakers on an overcast day in summer - so moody and surreal.
Next, we visited Harvard and I felt right at home....
Chandler and I at the Harvard Library. We are huge "Gilmore Girls" fans and so this was a definite on our list.
Another awesome place we visited was Salem Massachusetts. We took a tour through the "Witch House," which chronicled the events of the Salem Witch Trials and is the only standing house still associated with that dark time in American history. The owner of the house, Johnathan Corwin was a presiding Judge over much of the trials and it is known that many cases were even heard in this house.
Bewitched statue in Salem - no explanation needed but it was cool.
We spent a couple of days in Maine because my mom had to experience the lobster rolls. We journeyed to Cape Elizabeth to see the lighthouse there.
I hope you enjoyed my mini-tour of our vacation. I may occasionally post more of the literally thousands of photos I took
Thanks for stopping by...bye!
